Do I have to make an appointment to be photographed?
YES. You can make an appointment at Legacy Studios by clicking here.
Scheduling your session as soon as possible will ensure that you secure a spot in the yearbook and allows ample time for retakes (if desired). By signing up early, you’ll have the advantage of more options and flexibility in choosing the image that best represents you.
Is the yearbook picture free?
YES, if you only sit for the yearbook picture. If you want multiple poses, cap & gown pictures or other backgrounds, it costs $20.00
What should my child wear?
Recommended Yearbook Attire:
Ladies – Nice Top or Blouse
Gentlemen – Dress Shirt & Tie
Please note that poses including any of the following are NOT PERMITTED in the senior section of the yearbook: cap & gown poses or hands showing.
What should my child bring to the yearbook portrait session?
Please arrive wearing your yearbook portrait attire with time to touch up your look before your session begins. If you are signing up for an extended sitting with additional outfits, please bring them wrinkle-free and ready to wear. Cap and gown will be provided for your use (if applicable).
Optional tuxedos and drapes will be provided for your use. If you would like to be photographed in the tux, please arrive wearing a plain white T-shirt. Please note – tuxedo jackets size 38 through 56 will be provided for your use. Please make alternative arrangements if another size is required. To be photographed in the drape, please arrive wearing a thin-strapped tank top.
Props (jackets, sports and hobby equipment) may be brought to personalize your extended sittings.
To ensure you look your best, feel free to bring a brush, comb, facial powder, and touch up makeup.
For sittings outside of normal school operating hours, students may be accompanied by one adult during the session. Cell phone use will not be allowed within the photography session by any student or guest for any reason.
Do I have to buy pictures?
NO.
Does the studio have a cap & gown we can borrow?
YES.
Does the studio have a jacket for boys and black drape for girls we can borrow?
YES.
If we miss the May photo shoot, does that mean my child is not in yearbook?
NO. There are 2 picture retake days in September. Check the school calendar for specific dates.
Do I need an appointment for the September dates?
YES. Anyone who did NOT sit for a picture in May will receive a postcard from Legacy Studios with instructions to set up an appointment.
Are the retakes in September free?
YES...as long as you did NOT sit for a picture in May. If you did have your picture taken in May, you will be charged a $20.00 sitting fee.
What if we also miss the 2 picture retake dates?
You will have to call Legacy Studios Customer Care to see what they may arrange (800.348.4360).

Are yearbooks free for seniors?
NO.
How much does the yearbook cost?
There are different prices depending on when you order.
Early Yearbook Order (orders placed before 1/2/2025): $90
Regular Yearbook Order (orders placed 1/3/2025 – 3/27/2025): $110
Late Yearbook Order (orders placed after 3/28/2025): $120
You can still purchase a yearbook after the March 28 deadline by submitting a check for $120.00 made out to South Side High School. Checks can be brought to the main office. Please put your child's name and the word 'yearbook' on the memo line.
If I don't order one online, can I still buy one?
YES, you can purchase a yearbook by submitting a check for $120.00 made out to South Side High School. Checks can be brought to the main office. Please put your child's name and the word 'yearbook' on the memo line.
My senior has a younger sibling. Can we buy one for them?
Yes. We HIGHLY recommend you purchase any additional books online. There may be some extras to sell when they come in but it is not guaranteed.
