IB and AP Exam Schedule 2026

Posted Date: 03/25/26 (11:06 AM)

Dear South Side High School Community,

Attached please find the exam schedule for this year’s IB and AP exams.

Please note that students MUST arrive 30 minutes before the exam time indicated so the test can begin promptly. Additionally, for all IB exams, students are required to remain supervised for 2 hours or for the full duration of the exam length if it exceeds 2 hours.

For all students sitting any IB or AP exams, the following attendance policy will take effect from April 29th through May 23rd:

All students who are taking any IB or AP exams are excused from regularly scheduled classes on the day students take an IB or AP exam.

This policy applies to both students who are full IB Diploma Candidates and those IB Course Candidates who are taking one or more exams. Teachers are to continue to report accurate attendance and hold classes each day. Students shall continue to be responsible for long-term assignments and commitments.

All students in IB and AP classes must take either the IB or AP examinations for that course.

Failure to take the examination will result in the removal of weighting and the IB/AP designation from the final transcript. Students who do not sit for an IB or AP exam will need to complete additional coursework such as a cumulative final exam to receive credit for the course.  Accordingly, seniors who do not sit for the IB or AP exams in the courses in which they enrolled will be ineligible to participate in ASSESS.

Students with exam conflicts should contact Ms. Darbee at 516-255-8834 or visit her in the IB office room 1412.
